We can always hope, maybe for some event, since so far it seems all DLC mission drops and DLC exchange mission items are starting to be found as regular drops (as an example, Soul Phoenix from Ill Gills on A difficulty, according to what Modoru just posted in the PSP2 Wiki Todo post).

I find it funny how 'hacking' the game is such a big deal to release the codes. It's been done since the NES days. People would hack the game to get all the level codes and stuff like that. RubyEclipse, just letting you know if you're reading this, the staff on the official Sega forums talks about you, since you're a humongous prick.

I think in this case they actually intended to leave it in in the chance that they would release any DLC.

Now all we need is to find a way to get the JP DLC items and clothing working and all will be right in the world.

I doubt JP DLC items are going to happen. The game would have to be patched to allow those items to be imported, I imagine.

excuse me if I am a bit late to the party; but if the codes were marketing material to bring awareness to the game, to be distributed to various websites to bring more people into buying PSP2, then what is the problem in posting posting all of them on a website people would only visit AFTER buying the game in the first place? sure they are on GameFaqs now, but who looks up cheat codes for games they do not own?

the only hiccup this "leak" presents is that anyone who is an active member of the PS community knows all of the codes, and SEGA should not be worrying about marketing a game to people who have already made up their mind about buying the game.

Ruby should just continue his plan as scheduled since none of this should effect it whatsoever; unless the websites are just other PS community websites that are not attracting any new costumers/consumers whatsoever... then that would just be a big waste of time for everybody.

Unfortunate, but true.
It's easier to just point fingers and have scapegoats in case things go wrong.
That's how PR works, it's not their fault, it's someone else's, always is.

Yeah Ruby even outright blamed Sony for the 'cover in yo cover' misprint on the US box. That one is more funny than terrible.

Wait what misprint?

Oh wait the box cover image on the back? I was wondering what was up with that.

lol, are people actually whining about releasing shit that is already on the disc that players paid for? On a game that is basically rehash #4 of the PSU series? Following a game with an already tupset regional community for being treated like second rate customers for years??

All credit to essen, this is just too perfect and relevant to pass up the chance of posting it:

I agree that you should not have published that (that you would extract them for your own use and that of your friends is another story).

I'm not sure you all realise how many people in the community actually enjoy having Ruby and other staff members release those codes, and you just selfishly ruined the fun for a lot of people.
And you're the same people who complain about SoA not doing enough, good job, here -- and don't tell me releasing codes for items is not enough on their part, because then I could say you're never satisfied, and we'd be lost in a loop.
Besides, you should not extrapolate what you want to what every member of the community wants, if you're not happy with how things are handled, there is no reason to ruin the fun of others.

That's not going to change what I think of you, I like most people here, but this was very selfish and unsurprisingly egotistical.

If you have time to extract data from the game, extract useful data, like drops and drop rates; you know something that would benefit all the community, since that's the point of PSUpedia, to begin with. Because this kind of achievement is merely attention whoring. Well, at least it worked.

And I go around complaining about how people who talk about the endings of books spoiled it for me because they put the endings out there.

Man, please. Your rant means nothing. The post was, quite obviously, called "PSP2 US Password list". Trust me. Only the people wanting to find them, then went here and used the codes ruined it for themselves. They didn't have to visit this post and use the codes. They could have passed right over it and continued their fun.

So, don't go around saying that things like this ruined it for a lot of people because it is their own [censored] faults for using the codes that they apparently wanted to find so badly.

Now tell me, is it because you actually think they ruined it or is it just a put down because they have skills you are too lazy to learn yourself?

Actually, we found that people who play the game, if they make certain folders, can use the JP DLC. ALL the items/weapons found do, in fact, have English translations once you leave the areas.

Only DLC missions, not the PSN DLC weapons and outfits, those won't work unless the game is patched like Mewn said, since the game doesn't have the import option for those items to be added to the game.

I would just like to add my opining to this epic topic:

SoA should have released the passwords before the game was released!

It just makes better marketing sense. Plus, they should have foreseen something like this happening. So it's there own fault really. If the passwords weren't posted here, they still would have been posted somewhere else, long before they were released by other means. Also the complete lack of DLC just means they never planned for any long term involvement for the western version. So this site ended up doing SoA a favor.

I was so disappointed that the King knight armor is only for females... Is there no male counterpart? What a bummer.
