There are a few questions that I want to ask about weapon types, and what people think of them. Some strategies and so forth. In particular I'm trying to think of some good combos of single handed weaponry. Opinions are welcome!


WEAPONS
1. Are crossbows single handed or double? Also are they left or right if they are single?

2. what about cards? aRe they any good? Are they right handed or left?

3. Do you think pairing a slicer up with a tech mag might be good since the slicer refills pp at a range instead of depleting it?


TECHNICS
1. How do wands stack up to staffs pound for pound?

2. What are some good attack technic set ups for sqaure and triangle?

3. Are there any interesting strategies for playing a Force when it comes to damage type techs?

4. Any avoid at all costs techs I should know about?

Weapons
1. Crossbows are single handed and are the secondary weapon (left)
2. Cards are ok. I don't use them for my ranger b/c they're based on TEC rather than ATK. They are also a left handed weapon. Use them for chars with good TEC
3. Pairing up single handed weapons is really a preference thing. Play around with different combos and see what you like

Technics
I'm no technic expert at all. I mainly just use ranger type. But Rods usually are more powerful than wands, but wands give you the option to use other secondary weapons like handguns or crossbows

What do you think about R mags? Are they any good?

They were really over-powered in PSP1. Not in 2 anymore though... they don't really get used anymore. Haven't checked in Infinity.

I'm making sort of a ninja like character, and so far I have this weapon set up:

Vanguard class
1. Saber/hama bracer
2. Claw/hama bracer (might replace with a crossbow or some cards?)
3. Dagger/ Tech mag (debuffs)
4. Twin Daggers
5. Slicer/ Tech mag (dark element attacks with infect and poison)
6. I don't have anything for this slot. (possibly twin sabers or twin claws or maybe just a different set of twin daggers?)

So far its a pretty fun set up to play. Even though ninjas use twin swords or twin claws, the vanguard isn't that proficient with those, and they are somewhat redundant since I am using double daggers as a prime damage dealer. Plus that's just more type points I will need to get those to S, so I think Ill just stick with the above set up and maybe take along another set of twin daggers of a different element or something maybe.
