Maximum Attack Infinity
* Our next event, Maximum Attack Infinity, will feature a crossover with PSP2i. This event is scheduled to run from April 25 through May 23. See below for full details and translations from the event site.

http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/event/mainfinity/

Story
Incredible damage has been suffered across Gurhal due to the SEED attacks. But the damage is not limited to the planets, as surrounding space colonies have suffered similar fates. In order to help with reconstructing damaged colonies, construction has begun on the experimental warship "Clad 0."

Engineered by Sky Clad's top designer, this warship is based on AMF battleships; its construction is supported by many prominent Parum corporations such as Inhelt Co. and GRM.

A wide array of equipment was transported to Clad 0 in order to build a new VR training program for private use, based on AMF and GUARDIANS battle simulators.

After everything was in place, the main switch was thrown, and... the VR program successfully started!
However, for some reason Clad 0 soon began to lose control, and gradually began to fall out of orbit, threatening to collide with other colonies being rebuilt in the vicinity... The program which has corrupted the operating system causing it to run out of control must be identified! So, in order to avert disastrous collisions, the GUARDIANS have initiated "Operation: Sky Park Levitation!"

Event features
* New fields! As the event's enemy kill count rises, new fields such as the seabed plant and mysterious ruins sites will be opened!
* Special multipliers! Special multipliers will be in place, boosting EXP payout and item drop rates. Perfect for raising your character and hunting down brand new items!
* Various event rewards! All participants will be eligible to receive four special weapon rewards! And aside from the usual kill count rewards, you can earn points from your individual enemy kills to go toward even more item exchanges!

Event missions
Falling Sky Park (prologue mission)
We seem to be stuck in a little bit of a problem. Would you be able to lend me a hand?
Hyuga Ryght

Ark to the Future (main mission)
The VR program of Clad 0 suddenly went out of control, and now many strange phenomena have began occurring inside the ship! Protect the colony!

6P Mission Standby (recruiting mission)
An event-exclusive standby area. Meet up with new party members here.

As news came in that Clad 0's programming was out of control, the G. Colony's Resident Security Department geared up to lend a hand. Many new items have been added to the exchange counter to help with the crisis at hand!

Event rewards
* Cross-linked panel rewards between the PSU version of the event and the PSP2i version will determine the four weapon rewards eared after the end of the event. The abilities of the TECHNIC and ranged weapon rewards will be indicated on their respective panels; striking weapon reward panels will show their attribute rate. After the event ends, you will be able to choose one element for striking weapons at an exchange mission where you will collect your weapon.
* Kill count panels will be used, as with many previous events. As you and your party rack up enemy kills, totals will be added to the overall tally, unlocking new panel rewards as the event progresses. Certain rewards will be implemented immediately while others will be issued after the end of the event.
* Individuals will earn points based on the number of enemies they have killed. These points can then be used to trade in toward items in the event prologue mission.

Seasonal lobbies
* From April 25 through May 26, Maximum Attack Infinity decorations will be on display.
* The Parum Unification Commemoration begins April 25 and will run through May 26.

Mission updates
* Special Exchange 3rd will be updated with new items.

New fields
* Three new fields will be added: Clad 0 (space colony), seabed labs (subspace research facility) and Holy Ark Crowley.

System updates
* The following monsters will be updated to improve how they interfere with player movements:
- Grinna Bete C
- Grinna Bete S
- Kagajibari
- Lutus Jigga
- Orgdus
- Svaltus
- SEED-Ardite
- Bead Groode

Item updates
* New items will be added, including (but not limited to) Grandia (spear) and Repulsion Will (twin saber).
* The current GC Shop gacha will be replaced. It will include new costumes such as Angel Perfume (female clothes) and Eternal Form (female parts).
* The Parum Unity Souvenir will be on sale at the Variety Shop from April 25 through May 26.
* Casino rotation.

So instead of story missions exposing new areas they're gonna use events now? Guess that works. Hopefully normal missions will follow afterwards with such areas and they have new enemies (if not new enemy AIs as well).

Enemy kills opening new area and a single mission means it's MAG all over again. But hey, new fields! (just like in MAG!)

I've updated the first post with official update notes.

http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/news/wis ... ew&id=1379

* Maintenance which would have occurred April 28 has been moved to April 25. It will also begin one hour earlier than normal.
* The patch file for this update will be approximately 520 MB. Due to its size, server loads and your connection, downloads obviously will take longer. Please keep this in mind.
* The size of the patch file download after maintenance will not be smaller by having downloaded the patches up to this maintenance period.
* If you want to make sure you get your daily stamps and player record log in day for April 25, please try to log in before maintenance begins.

Ok wait I thought the PC/PS2 servers were shut down in march due to low population? At least thats what I read on the main site it was shortly after the 360 demo shutdown. Or am I just being a DUMBASS and they kept the JP version running?

JP PS2 online services were discontinued on April 14, but not due to low population. Instead, it was due to the fact that the PS2 was holding them back with what they could do with updates. Before, they were left with having to rehash everything since the PS2 was incapable of handling the necessary patch files, but now that the JP version is PC-only, they're able to add genuinely new content.

I see thank you very much for clearing up my confusion.

Well, no new PAs yet. :( Hopefully a mid-event update will include some, though.

Unlike the XBox 360 servers, where English and Japanese players play together, in the PC/PS2 servers the English and Japanese versions were separated.
Only the english PC/PS2 servers were shutdown last year.

Servers are back up!

* Game upgraded to ver.2.0014.3.
* The Shag Landeel weapon grade display bug in Photon Crystal Exchange has been fixed.

I've started patching, but it'll be a while before it's done, so I'm going to go back to sleep for a little bit. Hopefully it'll be ready by the time I wake back up!

17% downloaded. Already see an updated Svaltus file, PA data file, and several new maps.

This will be an interesting update!

Greetings from Clad 0!

Image

So far, the only area open is the northeast block, which is the normal RELICS (two dormant blocks and then one awake) followed by a De Ragnus battle. Oh, but the De Ragnus battle also includes Svaltuses!

I ran up on some Svaltuses and Lutus Jiggas, and didn't get stuck in them or spaz out or anything. It was nice!

Currently, there is a heavy load on the patch server, making it difficult to connect to the game server. The following error message is displayed in this case:

No. 021
Patch file download failed.

If you receive this message, please try again. It is not necessary to reinstall the client, as it is unrelated to the error message.

Even after downloading the patch and restarting the game, you may get this error message. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your patience as we work toward a solution.

--

After the patch downloaded for me and the game restarted, I was hit with error 21 right off the bat. I kept retrying, though, and eventually got through. I imagine that once the patch servers aren't so overloaded, it will be easier to get online.

Did anyone figure out how to get to the clad 0 enemy room consistently? I managed to get there solo on a C run, but in a party on S or S2 we haven't been able to get to it.

Assuming the secret action is the green chip turret thing, I never did that when I did it solo and I still got to the clad room.

Hmm, interesting thought you needed to do it for a chance.

Well it still seems luck based. Don't think there's a difference in spawns before it, but haven't really payed much attention.

The secret action just seems to add boss boxes at the end.

But yeah seems like the Clad 0 Room is just completely random, my group all started running on our alts recently and managed to get there again without getting the secret action since we didn't have goggles at the time.
